(Ecofin Agency) - Mohamed Mouctari Moustapha Tahi, the humorist from Niger better known as Mamane le Gondwanais (photo), is planning to launch an international campaign on renewable energies in Niger, with his comedian friends’ support. He announced this yesterday after an audience with the Nigerien president.
“I will fully commit myself to sensitizing people on the use of solar energy in Niger”, he said.
This project adds to the creation of a comedy school in Niger, announced last May by the humorist. According to Mamane, this project is progressing normally.
“We already have the spot and the plans are being designed”, he explained adding that the project is already generating great excitement in Niger and beyond, in France and Côte d’Ivoire notably.
This school is aimed at training aspiring comedians to the art of humor. “ We will bring all the humorists to Niamey to train them. This school will be open to all African humorists to prepare those who will takeover”, Mamane said in May 2018.
