(Ecofin Agency) - In Tunisia, 2 people out of 3 have little or no confidence in media. This is the result of a survey organized by the country’s association Barr Al Aman, specialized in research and media. The survey was organized in partnership with Mediascan institute and in that framework, 1,841 Tunisians of at least 18 years old were questioned.
The study provided various insights into the trust Tunisians have in their media. Indeed, 45% of the surveyed indicated that they do not expect any info from the media while 35% said they would like to be informed by those media if the information is trustworthy and verified. As far as print media is concerned, 44% of the surveyed said they have no knowledge of what they write about, 32% think they relay the info as they are while 24% think their information is usually biased.
As for the television channels operating in the country, 88% of the population surveyed trust Attassia TV which is, therefore, the most credible television channel in Tunisia.
