(Ecofin Agency) - South Africa’s Department of Energy has released a new fuel price for the month of November. The price of all grades of petrol, wholesale price of the two grades of diesel, maximum retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as well as the price of illuminating Paraffin is to decrease starting from 4th of November 2015.
The prices are to decrease as follows: Petrol (93 Octane and 95 Octane) is to decrease by 22.00 Cents per litre, Diesel (0.05% Sulphur) by 9.00 cents per litre,Diesel (0.005% Sulphur)by 10.00 cents per litre, Illuminating paraffin (SMNRP) by 3.00 cents per litre, Illuminating paraffin (wholesale) by 2.00 cents per litre and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by 47.00 cents per kilogram respectively.
Fuel prices are adjusted on a monthly basis in South Africa due to local and international factors such as the strengthening of the Rand against the dollar and the drop in the prices of all petroleum products during the period under review.
The pricing schedule for all the pricing zones will be published on 3rd of November. The Department of Energy however advised motorists, paraffin and LPG users to continue to use energy cautiously during these difficult economic times, News24wire reports.
