(Ecofin Agency) - Madagascar’s civic society strongly wishes to join the country’s land tenure system. In this framework,    the civic society-led organization active in land sector, Solidarité des Intervenants sur le Foncier (SIF) and the Committee for the Defense of Land Right have started yesterday, Oct. 18^th, a three-day reflection workshop.    

“Our land sector currently experiences a lot of troubles. This workshop aims to develop solutions and strategies to deal with them,” SIF’s president, Haingoarison Randrianomenjanahary, told website News Mada.

Concrete solutions in regards to planning as well as to budgeting of local actions for the defense of land rights should come out of this workshop.
