(Ecofin Agency) - Algerian Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Tayeb Louh, during an inspection visit to the El Harrach court commended the Public Prosecutions to rapidly process all complaint related to the misappropriation of 65 hectares of land portion at the Dounia Park site.

While demanding public ministry’s magistrates to “immediately” initiate procedures once they have received such a complaint, no “matter its source”, he reminded citizens of their obligation to denounce any offence to law as stated under article 20 of the Algerian penal procedure Code.

“Every active competent authority, public servant or officer, with knowledge of a crime or law violation of any sort, is to notify without delay the public ministry and provide all associated information, reports and acts,” states the article.

Therefore, not only official authorities, but civic society organizations and individuals are concerned here.
