(Ecofin Agency) - Cadaster and land registration operations have officially begun in Cote d’Ivoire, precisely in the Yabayo, Oupoyo and Meagui communities in Nawa, a region that is located in the South Eastern part of the country. The works which fall under the 2017 national city and community cadaster programme should last three months.
“The Ivorian State, pressured by the growing demand of populations for basic infrastructures, must mobilize more resources to make available to rural communities. This calls for a need to provide investors, development actors and any other relevant person with reliable graphic and digital data of your localities,” Fratmat.info reports citing the head of the San Pédro tax centre, Ehounou Angaman.
According to the website, the official said “the project aims, among others, to proceed to the topographical survey of targeted areas, actualize cadastral plans, improve land tenure as welll as monitor and control land tax revenues”.
