(Ecofin Agency) - Under its “One world, No hunger” programme, Germany just injected €15.5 million into Togo’s Agriculture.
According to the terms of the agreement initialed by Togo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Dussey, and German ambassador to Togo, Christophe Sanders, one of the major points of this project is the establishment of a green innovation centre.
This institution will help increase revenues of small farmers as it introduces them to new agricultural methods more efficient than those currently in practice. Togo’s green innovation centre comes online about a month only after Benin’s has been commissioned. Besides the implementation of the green innovation centre, Germany will support Togo in terms of food security.
It should be reminded that Berlin plans to establish 13 green innovation centres across Africa.
