(Ecofin Agency) - In Morocco, Miller Forafric just acquired the Tria group. In doing so, Forafric hopes to strengthen its position on the market by using Tria’s resources in terms of logistic, people, and consumers’ products,Medias 24 says.
With this transaction, Forafric now has two millers, a distribution group, one unit that produces pasta and couscous, and a trading company. Now Forafric-Tria, the group has a total of €186 million (two billion dirhams) turnover and workforce of 1,000 people.
According to its directorate, these new assets will help it achieve its goal which is to cover the whole continent. “We intend to keep expanding by using our proximity commercial policy and by maintaining our standards of quality, which are the pillars of our development,” said Khalid Assari, director general of Forafric-Tria.
Last year, Forafric started its pan African project by implanting a logistic platform in Gabon.
