(Ecofin Agency) - The Bensalah family just increased their presence in Morocco. Indeed, Holmarcom, the Holding owned by the family just announced it has acquired five companies which until now were owned by PGS Invest.
The companies whose range of activities go from snack production to cashew processing, and valorization of aromatic plants, have been grouped into a new holding named Denia, Telquel.ma said. Holmarcom, not revealing the cost of the acquisitions, named the firms involved.
Fruideli (dry and dried fruits), Cosseco (dry fruits processing), Taromed (aromatic and medicinal plants) CFS (cashew processing), SFM (chips production and distribution) thus join Eaux Minérales d’Oulmès, Somathes (tea), Huiles d’Olives de la Méditarranée and Juice & Nectar Partner.
In Morocco, the Bensalah who are one of the country’s most influential families in the business industry produced the first woman to head the employers’ association: Meriem Bensalah-Chaqroun.
