Endeavour Mining has announced on Thursday that its Houndé gold mine in Burkina Faso has started production ahead of schedule. First pouring was about 980 ounces Au, and commercial production should commence in the coming weeks.
“We are proud to have successfully completed this major milestone ahead of schedule and below budget […]. The addition of Houndé will significantly improve Endeavour's portfolio quality as it is expected to double the group's cash flow generation once fully ramped-up”, said the firm’s CEO, Sébastien de Montessus.
The Houndé project should produce an average of 190,000 oz of gold per year throughout its lifeline, knowingly 10 years.
