Following a new series of metallurgic testing at its Lola graphite project in guinea, miner Sama Resources confirmed a high potential for graphite concentrate and recovery rate.
Test results indeed indicate that 70% of concentrate graphite is made of super jumbo, jumbo and large flakes sizes. Super-Jumbo flake size accounts for 24% of the concentrate with purities of 92.7% and 95.5% graphitic carbon.
“This is our third simple floatation test and we are seeing big improvements in both flake size and purity. These impressive results validate the quality of the asset and we are confident that further testing using a simple floatation process will provide even better results,” said Marc-Antoine Audet, President and CEO, Sama Resources.
The Lola graphite deposit covers an area of over 8.7 km long by 300 m of wide at surface, with a potential of up to 1 km. Previous two metallurgic tests revealed that high recovery of super jumbo, jumbo and large flake sizes, at 60%, 78% and 70% respectively.
