(Ecofin Agency) - Last Saturday, September 23, a delegation of Malagasy experts visited Saint-Louis, in Northern Senegal, as part of a mission to share Madagascar's knowledge and experience in terms of agricultural land management with members of the Project for Inclusive and Sustainable Development of Agribusiness in Senegal (PDIDAS). This was reported by the Agence de presse senegalaise (APS).
“The two parties present at the meeting discussed about good agricultural practices but also on land management and tenure mentionning the implementation of a reliable land data system and mapping,” said PDIDAS’s coordinator, Ndèye Coura Mbaye Diop (picture).
“PDIDAS’ experts and the Malagasy delegation have discussed aspects of communication and sensitization of the community as well as land-awarding process and that related to transparent selection of investors. They also proceeded to field visits, at the Saint-Louis cadastre office before meeting with the people of Gandon,” APS highlighted.
The Malagasy delegation was led by the Director of Cabinet of the Ministry of presidential projects, land development and equipment, Jean Michel Andrianasolo.
