(Ecofin Agency) - Israeli group Tahal International BV has partnered with Angolan firm ZRB to carry out a 7-year agricultural project. The association will take place in the framework of a partnership agreement signed with the Gestão de Terras Aráveis (Gesterra), a semi-public company.
The $370 million contract is for the Kimina project which will reproduce the moshav model. This kind of multi-function cooperation developed in Israel regroups various families from a village to enable individual agricultural production, while offering collective services.
Regarding Kimina, an annual production of 60,000 tons of agricultural products is expected, Macahub said.
The Kimina project has so far 300 properties, each extending over one hectare of arable land. The village has processing infrastructures and logistic centres.
