During the elections in November 2015, these women got from the country’s six political parties, including the one actually ruling, to commit to implement a set (10) of measures which would help them fully develop their potential in the sector. The government recently approved the implementation of various land policies in villages to allow women to receive 30% of developed lands, APA said.

Asides access to lands, claims of rural women in Burkina include access to loans and production input, provision of technical training and promotion of their products.
