(Ecofin Agency) - Last week, the French Development Agency approved a funding agreement of CFA19.65 billion for Burkina Faso to support three agricultural projects. This was reported by Sidwaya.
The document was initialized by Hadizatou Rosine Coulibaly, Burkinabe minister of economy, finance and development and Tanguy Denieul, FDA’s Director.
The resource granted as concessional loan and subsidy will be directed to the West communes support project, which focuses on the management of rural land and natural resources (PACOF).
The Tiwara initiative, part of Eastern Region Food Security Project (PSAE-IT) and contract farming as well as ecological transition project (PACTE) will also benefit from the financing.
“This loan will help support cooperatives, both local communities and agricultural sectors’ operators to develop agriculture and meet quality and quantity demands,” Mr. Denieul said.
